Mole Removal & Mapping
(Cryosurgery)
Worried about a mole or skin lesion? Discover our latest treatment at The Beauty Alchemist: Mole Removal and Mole Mapping for moles, skin tags and skin abnormalities.
For moles or abnormal skin tags, we use a medical procedure called Cryosurgery that is used to treat various skin conditions. During the treatment, nitrous oxide is applied to the problematic area, freezing it and causing it to gradually fall off. This minimally invasive technique is quick and typically requires little to no downtime, making it a convenient option for those looking to address unwanted moles. At The Beauty Alchemist, we use the latest technology, administering our treatments with the industry leading CryoPen.

Our offering also expands to Mole Mapping, in partnership with Map My Mole - a UK based dermatology consultancy - as seen on BBC News on 27th March 2025! At The Beauty Alchemist, we offer a state-of-the-art Mole Mapping service (also known as Mole Screening), which involves a professional examination of your skin, especially moles, to detect early signs of skin cancer, particularly melanoma, through digital imaging methods.
Our highly qualified and experienced Aesthetic Pharmacist is at the helm of offering these innovative treatments, guiding you every step of the way. With their expertise, you can trust that you're receiving the best care tailored to your needs.
Mole / Skin Lesion Removal (Cryosurgery)
The term ‘cryosurgery’ means ‘treatment using low temperature’ and refers to the removal of surface skin lesions by freezing them.
At The Beauty Alchemist, we use the leading edge CryoPen, which uses Nitrous Oxide as the freezing agent and is very safe for these treatments.
Many abnormal areas of skin (lesions) can be treated with cryotherapy. This includes non-cancerous (benign) lesions. It is most commonly used to remove areas of sun-damaged skin found predominantly on sun-exposed parts of the body.

Immediate Side Effects may include mild discomfort or pain and potential swelling & redness for 2-3 days. Consultations are recommended with our Aesthetic Pharmacist to discuss treatments for Cryosurgery.
